Presenter: Daniel McGlone, Azavea, Esther Needham, Azavea, Aaron Dennis, Azavea, Dan Ford, Azavea
Heard about OpenStreetMap but don’t know how or where to get started? Are you looking for a chance a participate in a global project that puts vulnerable people on the map? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions then you should join the OpenStreetMap Workshop. During this hands-on workshop, we’ll teach you the basics of the OSM data structure and tags, how to find and download OSM data, and how to integrate it into your map. Then, apply what you learned during the workshop to humanitarian relief efforts - we’ll walk through the process of entering data using the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Task Manager and contribute data to an impactful project.

This workshop will be geared towards those who have a beginner level familiarity with OpenStreetMap, but with knowledge of desktop GIS software.
